[CLIENT FULL NAME] [CLIENT ADDRESS LINE1] [CLIENT CITY], [CLIENT STATE] [CLIENT ZIP] Phone: [CLIENT PHONE] Email: [CLIENT EMAIL] Date: [TODAY] [RECIPIENT NAME] [RECIPIENT ADDRESS BLOCK] RE: DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE DELETION OF UNLAWFUL CREDIT TRADE LINE - REG F § 1006.30(a) 'DEBT PARKING' VIOLATION Account Number: [ACCOUNT ACCOUNT NUMBER MASKED] Original Creditor: [ACCOUNT ORIGINAL CREDITOR] Date Reported to Credit Bureaus: [ACCOUNT DATE REPORTED] Dear [RECIPIENT NAME], I am writing regarding your illegal placement of a collection trade line on my credit report for the above-referenced account on [ACCOUNT DATE REPORTED]. Please be advised that prior to the placement of this trade line on my credit report, your agency NEVER communicated with me, nor did you send a validation notice to my address, nor did you wait the mandatory statutory waiting period. This practice—commonly referred to as "debt parking"—is strictly prohibited by CFPB Regulation F. Under 12 CFR § 1006.30(a): "A debt collector MUST NOT furnish to a consumer reporting agency information about a debt before the debt collector: (1) Speaks to the consumer about the debt in person or by telephone; or (2) Places a letter in the mail or sends an electronic communication to the consumer about the debt and waits a reasonable period of time [at least 14 consecutive days] for notice of undeliverability." By "parking" this debt on my credit profile without prior written validation or communication, your agency committed an immediate regulatory violation under 12 CFR § 1006.30(a) and a deceptive debt collection practice under 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692e and 1692f. I demand that you IMMEDIATELY request full deletion of this trade line from Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, and all other credit reporting agencies. Provide written confirmation of trade line deletion within fifteen (15) days. Sincerely, [CLIENT FULL NAME] Sent via Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested: [LETTER CERTIFIED NUMBER]
