Freedom Credit Counseling

We believe every consumer should know the rules that credit bureaus and collectors must follow, and have the tools to hold them to it.

What we do

We provide free education and self-help tools: a rights guide, a library of letter templates grounded in federal and state law, a portal to track your disputes and deadlines, and a secure place to keep your documents.

You stay in control. You sign and send your own letters. Disputes carry the most weight coming directly from you, and the law gives you every right to do it yourself for free.

We're also a point of contact: if you're stuck, confused or being pushed around by a collector, reach out and we'll help you understand your options.

What we don't do

  • We are not a law firm and don't give legal advice.
  • We are not a nonprofit credit counseling agency and don't offer debt management plans.
  • We don't promise to remove accurate information. Nobody can legally do that.
  • We never recommend CPNs, "new credit identities," or pseudo-legal theories.
  • We don't sell your data.
